The Team

The ExportersAlmanac has been developed by a team with experience across international banking, trade finance, logistics, digital platforms and global market development.

The key team members involved are: 

Flavio Caricasole – flavio.caricasole@tradetech.cloud

Until 2016, Flavio was a senior banker with the UBI Banca Group, where he was responsible for International Trade and Payment Systems. He has a deep knowledge of: Correspondent Banking, Trade Finance & Cash Management. (He is a Contract Professor at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan, teaching International Banking.)

In addition, he has developed: (a) business intelligence tools to analyse interbank messaging traffic and (b) Transaction Banking Lab, a virtual space which aims to match banks’ demands with the various solutions available in the fintech market.

Roel Crooijmans - roel.crooijmans@tradetech.cloud

Roel has a background in: logistics, tourism, finance and IT. He is the founder and co-owner of several innovating businesses. His ventures have included the development of international e-invoicing solutions and services. He was founder of an e-Invoicing company that was sold to Genpact LCC (later on to SIMAC). Prior to that he worked on innovation in the airline industry optimising process flows, reducing fraud and paper.

His recent ventures include CargoLedger (Smart Form and Distributed Ledger solutions in logistics and finance) and Logisa (Social Supply Chain Management in Africa). 

Nick Daniel - nick.daniel@tradetech.cloud

Nick Daniel is a seasoned IT professional with over 30 years’ experience in business development of IT and services, principally within the financial services sector.  Previously he was a co-founder of a start-up fintech and regularly undertakes consulting assignments for other start-ups and new entrants.

Over the past two years, Nick, together with Ian, has been working closely with ICC Ukraine on their Rebuild Ukraine Portal and Global Export Promotion Programme.

Ian Dunning – ian.dunning@tradetech.cloud

Ian is a former international banker with HSBC. He is also an author of books for SMEs and professionals on how to gain commercial benefits from the internet. For the past 20 years, Ian has been involved in the conception, design, build and development of online reference data services for the international banking community. Over the past two years, Ian, together with Nick, has been working closely with ICC Ukraine on their Rebuild Ukraine Portal and Global Export Promotion Programme.
